Smoothie Recipes

When it comes to Smoothie Recipes there is plenty of room for creativeness, so if you are new to Smoothies or  just want some quick and easy recipes, here's a few of my favorite Smoothie Recipes to give you some ideas:

Option 1) Classic Berry Banana Smoothie Recipe:

  • 2 large bananas (cut into chunky pieces)
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups mixed berries (frozen, roughly 1/2 bag)

optional: 1/2 cup ice

Method: Juice oranges separately in a juicer (unless you are using bottled juice) and pour juice into a blender. Then add bananas and put berries on top. Blend for roughly 1 minute or till smooth. Serve and enjoy


Option 2) Papaya Pineapple Breakfast Smoothie:
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 papaya
  • 1/2 banana cut into pieces
Method: Juice pineapple separately in a juicer (unless you are using bottled juice) and pour juice into a blender. Then add banana and papaya. Blend for roughly 1 minute or till smooth. Serve and enjoy


Option3) Apple Avocado Smoothie:
  • 1 avocado (remove skin and stone) 
  • 1/2 cup carrot juice
  • 1 cup green apple (cored)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (peeled and crushed)

Method: Blend all till smooth and enjoy. 


Option 4) Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe:
  • 1 large banana
  • 1.5 cups strawberry
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • a few mint leaves

Method: Blend all ingredients til smooth. Serve and enjoy a Wonderfully refreshing drink. 


Option 5) Easy Mango Smoothie Recipe:
  • 1 cup mango (fresh or frozen) 
  • 1/2 cup low fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (of your choice e.g rice milk)
optional: sprinkle with peanuts 

Method: Blend all ingredients till smooth. Sprinkle nuts on top if you like. Enjoy
