Carrots are a great all round vegetable containing 90% water which makes them easy to juice with, and they work great with other vegetables and fruits.
How to make Carrot Juice: Always thoroughly wash produce and cut top off carrots. If using citrus fruits always peel them prior to juicing.
Basic Carrot Juice: To make a standard carrot juice you'll need 4 large carrots, which will give you roughly 1 glass (250ml) of juice, so the following recipes are based around that figure.
Simple Juices with Carrots:
1) Basic Carrot Juice:
- 4 large carrots
- optional: 1/2 peeled lemon + 1 tablespoon ginger
2) Carrot/ Kiwi Juice:
- 4 medium carrots
- 2 peeled kiwi fruits
3) Carrot/ Strawberry Juice:
- 4 medium carrots
- 1.5 cups of strawberries
- optional: add a few mint leaves
4) Carrot/ Apple Juice:
- 2 Green apples
- 4 medium carrots
- Optional: add 1/2 tea spoon of ginger or add a few mint leaves
5) Carrot/ Cucumber Juice:
- 4 Carrots
- 1 large cucumber
- 1/4 peeled lemon
7) Carrot/ Beet Juice:
- 4 carrots
- 2 beets (stems & leaves)
- 1/4 peeled lemon
8) Carrot/ Lime Juice:
- 4 carrots
- 1 peeled lime
- optional: add a few mint leaves
